Ditto — “90 Strangers Find Love at Sea” (Event Recap)
Role: Executive Producer, Producer, Director, Creative Director
Date: October 26, 2025
Location: Berkeley, CA
Description:
Produced by Mars for Ditto AI, “90 Strangers Find Love at Sea” is a cinematic social-experiment film exploring whether artificial intelligence can create real human connection. Ditto’s proprietary matchmaking algorithm paired ninety college students into couples for the evening — revealed in a dramatic on-deck moment before they embarked on a “bingo card blind date” filled with interactive challenges, emotional prompts, and shared experiences.
As Producer, Mars led the project from concept through wrap, overseeing creative direction, casting, and event logistics in collaboration with Ditto’s executive team. She managed a three-person film crew, coordinated ninety participants, and orchestrated the live event to balance spontaneity with cinematic control. Mars also directed the visual tone and pacing of the film, ensuring each activity and connection moment aligned with Ditto’s brand narrative.
The final production delivered a 6-minute cinematic short, 30-second trailer, and behind-the-scenes campaign for Ditto AI’s official social rollout — blending poetic realism with contemporary luxury. The film highlights Mars’s ability to produce branded experiences that merge narrative, emotion, and audience engagement through seamless creative and logistical execution.
